There are no words...

I know ive mentioned this before on my blog, but I'm going to say it again.  I'm the LUCKIEST girl in the world.

Last night Bobby asked me to marry him (I said Yes!)

He completely caught me off guard and it was the most perfect moment ever.

He had me so focused on my mystery trip It never occured to me he would propose...my boy did good :)

I'm going to spend all day today looking at dresses, and colors and all that wedding frufru and Im going to love every second of it.

I've learned quickly that its almost impossible to take a good, clear picture of an engagement ring.  The first picture is the closest I have been able to get (and it doesnt even come close to showing the beauty of the ring.)  The second is a picture from the site where the ring came from (its exactly the same.)

Oh and our trip is a cruise to the Bahamas!  I'm on happy overload!

Bubbly Tuesday

Remember THIS !?

Well today is the day!  Tonight I find out where we are going!  I don't know how I am going to make it through this day!  The excitement is killing me!!!

Also how perfect is it that the big reveal is on Tuesday so I can use it for my Bubbly Tuesday link up over at
Classic and Bubbly!  Hop on over and check out what everyone is doing for themselves or others today to make Tuesday just a little bit easier!

I'm clueless where this trip will lead me...could I end up here?

Or maybe here?

Which would be awesome because then I would have a good reason to buy these!

Could it be a cruise??? Oh la la!

New York City?

To be honest I could be here and I would be ecstatic...

Oh what a bubbly Tuesday it will be for me!

And I will be sure to share as soon as I can!

It's officially Christmas-time!

Thanksgiving is finally behind us and that means the official start to the Christmas Season has begun! Christmas is my favorite time of year so I am always looking forward to Nov.25th so I can start celebrating without that "its not even Thanksgiving and she is already getting ready for Christmas!" backlash.

Since moving into my new house I have been having major struggles trying to unpack and decorate to my liking.  So, as an added bonus this year Christmas decorations are alloting me a little breathing room on my unpacking and interior design.  For the next month i can fill the holes with Christmas cheer and wait for inspiration to hit me on more permanent decoration.

Here are a view glimpses of what I have so far:

Small tree in the front window that can be seen lit from the road.

My mantle

Mantle close up

This little guy is my pride and joy so far.  I picked him up for $4 at Kohls last weekend for my mantle and dressed him up for Xmas with a little bow and some angel wings.

I still have the main event to go (the real Christmas tree for the den area) but since its been in the 70's here lately I'm holding off for a few days on that.  I refuse to buy my Christmas tree when I don't need a jacket.

Have you started your Holiday decorating?

Thankful for Pinterest!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! I will be celebrating in Charlotte with some special people and I won't be able to post so i want to go ahead and wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  I encourage everyone who reads this post to sit back tomorrow, try to slow down a bit and look around.  Realize how lucky you are to have what you have.  I know I will.

Im linking up with The Vintage Apple today for Oh, How Pinteresting! Go check out her fantastic blog and get lost in all the fantastic pins!  I have decided to run with the Thanksgiving theme and use Pinterest to show things am thankful for.

I am oh so Thankful for all the manicure inspiration I get from my fellow bloggers and pinterest too! All the options keep my infatuation for mani's always satisfied!

I am thankful for my true friends.  Unfortunately the more you go through in life the thinner the pickings get but the ones that last are pure quality.  I am so fortunate to have a few good quality friends left.

Im SO thankful for YOU! Everytime i read a new comment or see my follower number increase I get giddy!  New friendships are the best part of blogging.

I can't begin to express how thankful i am that Bobby chases me.

Scarves.  I am so thankful for Scarves.  They are my favorite.

I am thankful for Beagle bellies.  My beagles belly has cured me of more ailments than anything else.  I swear by it.

Oh man my family.  I dont think I can be thankful enough.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday morning!  It's turkey week; can you believe it!  Where has this year gone?  This is the time of year where i feel like i need a seatbelt because i know that the rest of the year is going to be a wild ride.  With the purchase of a new home added to the normal holiday chaos i feel my stress levels bubbling a bit already but im going to try really hard to focus on whats really important this year and that is how lucky I am to be healthy and happy with such great friends and family.  My life is great and that is all that matters.

My Motto this Holiday Season:

On to the weekend recap!

My Mom came up to visit this weekend so Saturday was the official kick off of Christmas shopping for us.  I couldnt believe how well we did!  Mom knocked out a good 80% of her shopping in ONE DAY!  By early afternoon we were DONE with Starbucks Peppermint Mocha Lattes in hand.

Next we headed to Cary to tour my brothers new business location.  He is a PGA certified golf pro and he recently re-located his business, 3D Golf Instruction, to the SportHQ facility in Cary.
3D Golf was created to provide golfers of any age or ability the opportunity to take advantage of the diagnosis technology that has emerged in today’s golf market. Bio-Mechanics based instruction is highly efficient and allows professionals to identify swing faults based on FACTS, not opinions.  This is the PERFECT gift for any guy or girl who wants a little help improving their swing on the course.  If anyone is in the Raleigh area and interested in checking him out for yourself or as a gift leave me a comment and your email address and I will hook you up with a discount!

After checking out my brothers new digs Mom and I headed home to get crafty!  I don't know where all of this energy came from but the Moms and I were on a roll!  A few hours of DIY Christmas fun and look what i created!

I'm really proud of myself and can't wait to hang my Christmas skate on my front door!  Ok, ok, i admit it.  It's already hanging on my front door :)  But its only FOUR more days to Thanksgiving so im not that far ahead of the appropriate Christmas decoration time frame.

Mom headed back home early Sunday morning and all of the activity from Saturday finally caught up with me.  The majority of the day was spent relaxing around the house and trying to fill the empty rooms.  Saturday night we curled up on the couch to watch the Giants on Sunday night football.  Unfortunately that didnt turn out too well...i snapped this picture of Audrey after she watched Ballard miss his SECOND PERFECT TOUCHDOWN PASS from Eli.  Her frustration was apparent and i shared the sentiment:

Now we just have to beat the Cowboys twice and we will be ok, oh and the the undefeated Packers too (did i mention them.)  Boo.

What did you do this weekend?

Friday Fancies

I'm out on a limb this Friday...

This weeks Friday's Fancies is all about mixing patterns; and let me tell you mixing patterns is one of my favorite things (as shown here).  But I wanted to go out of the box a bit this week so I came up with this outfit.  Is it a bit "too" high fashion?  Possibly.  That doesn't mean I dont love it!  Something about the flower pattern of this Lanvin silk blend dress up against the grid of the Balenciaga bag is working for me.  And I know color isnt technically a pattern but it definitely mixes and matches with this outfit.  Now if only I had a good reason to casually stroll around Paris waiting for the Sartorialist to snap a shot of me...

Inspired nails

I saw this really great manicure while blog browsing and wanted to try it out for myself.  I know my pictures are a bit blurry (phone pictures), and I can never get the glare off of my nails when taking snapshots. (Any of my lovely blog friends have any tips?)

Here is the inspiration picture:

And here is my interpretation (I used Revlon Gray Suede and Nicole by OPI Justin Bieber One Less Lonely Girl collection)

Oh no...

Oh no...I entered "beagle" into my Pinterest search and now I can't stop.

Work it, work it....WORK it!

Its Work it Wednesday!  Come on get happy!

I'm really excited about my Work it Wednesday post today (can you tell?)  While scanning Polyvore for this weeks item i stumbled upon the cutest animal print thermal shirt!  And for less than $20 i may actually order this baby and try some of my three looks out myself!  With Fall in the air and Winter just around the corner who doesnt love a long sleeved thermal tee to keep them warm and toasty?  I had alot of fun picking out ways to showcase this simple everyday piece in some out of the box styles.  I hope you like as much as I do!

As ALWAYS go straight to Jills GOOD LIFE blog for the Work it Wednesday link up and check out how she is styling sweater dresses three ways this week!

For my first look I paired the thermal with some boyfriend jeans updated for Fall/Winter with some brown suede oxfords.

Look number two looks so comfortable and fun i want to try it out immediately!  A black jersey maxi skirt paired with some black converse all stars and then accessorized with a chucky infinity scarf and ear muffs is the perfect outfit to beat the weekend chill.

Finally i layered one of falls hottest trends (the cropped sweater) over the thermal and paired it with some fantastic flare jeans and moccasins.  Simple gold jewelry rounds the look out nicely.

Classic & Bubbly

I'm on a mission to move PAST the Monday i had yesterday so after checking out Kate @ Daffodils Tuesday Post (check out today's inspiration HERE) I decided to link up too.  Don't forget to stop by and visit Stesha, the originator of it all, over at Classic & Bubbly for Bubbly Tuesday.

So my friends here are a few of the things that are currently making me HAPPY!

When my Beagle (Audrey) steals my spot when i get up in the morning.

The anticipation of seeing Tom Hardy as Bane in the final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogie.
My boy is a HUGE Batman fan and has over the years tried to incite me to share his excitment for the caped crusader; casting Tom Hardy in the next movie?  Im all over it!

THIS. Dont act like your not laughing :)

"The Bigger the Hair, the Closer to God"

Warm and toasty scarves

There.  See?  I feel better now! I hope you all do too!

Just one of those days...

I hate when Monday FEELS like Monday.  You know, when its one of those days you walk outside at lunch and are shocked to see the sunshine.  I honestly could have sworn it was cold, rainy and dreery outside today while I was sitting at my desk.  The most exciting thing I have done today is find out how to make my eyes look like this (check it out HERE.)

I think I may head home after work and apply this makeup to my face just to lounge on my couch with my Beagle dining on Lucky Charms and watching re-runs of Say Yes To The Dress.  Sounds like a winner.

Friday Fancies 11/11/11

Friday Fancies 11/11/11

It's time for another Friday Fancies link up!  Today we are celebrating {AV}'s 50th Friday Fancy post and dressing up for a "golden" anniversary party!  When it comes to sparkle I tend to like to leave it to my shoes so i picked these fantastic CASADEI open toe pumps and built my outfit around them.  A classic LBD (isnt this one by Christopher Kane amazing), a smokey eye and some gold accent jewelry rounds out the look.  I'm ready to go!
Don't forget to hope over to {AV}'s Long Distance Loving and look at all the other Golden ideas!
Happy Friday!

Have some Faith

I didn't watch the CMA's last night but I did jump right online first thing this morning and review all the fashion.  Honestly I was a little let down and wasnt overly impressed with anyone.  EXCEPT this lady.  Mrs. Faith Hill looked phenomenal.

And THAT is how you pull off class.

A++++++

One Lucky Girl

I am one LUCKY girl.

Works been stressful and getting me down a bit lately so the boyfriend has once again come to save my day.  He insists i dont have a single second of unhappiness that one!

I have been gifted with THIS:

What is THIS you ask?  Funny, thats what I asked too!

Oh its just a very well planned, already booked surprise trip for just us two!

And 112 different possibilities of where the trip will be!  YES 112.  We spent last night going thru every single picture that the boyfriend painstakingly has uploaded over the past few MONTHS of beautiful destinations across the world!

Check out the STACK of pictures that came off this board!

I've been told one of these fabulous locales is where we will end up and i've been told we will end up there soon but thats about it.  I guess I better dig around try to find some patience while I try to figure this one out!

I will make sure to post some of the pictures soon, and Bobby promises he is going to start slowly eliminating possibilies so that I can get a better idea of what I am in for so I will be sure to update on that too!

I'm so excited for my big adventure but not as excited as I am to have such a great guy in my life!

Love him

If you couldnt tell he's a bit of a Duke fan and he's very very very excited that the start of basketball season is right around the corner.  So here's a little shout out to my man and his team!
